John Da Grosa Smith's experience as an assistant district attorney, a “big firm” civil litigator, and a consultant results in a confluence of diverse skills that provides a new, fresh perspective to delivering high-quality legal services.

In 1998, Mr. Smith began his legal career at the Philadelphia District Attorney's Office where he was immersed in trying cases – one after another. He emerged as an effective, experienced trial lawyer. He left the District Attorney's Office in 2001 while serving in the Major Trials Unit.
Mr. Smith joined Accenture, one of the world’s leading consulting companies, as a consultant. Accenture provided him with an opportunity to supplement his legal skills and knowledge with actual business experience. He learned “best practices” for developing and delivering business and technology solutions as well as for effectively managing client projects.
In 2003, Mr. Smith returned to the practice of law as an associate at Rogers & Hardin in Atlanta, Georgia. He had the opportunity to work with some of the most highly-regarded lawyers in the City while handling a variety of complex civil litigation matters including numerous securities and bankruptcy cases. He also handled a range of commercial and general complex business disputes.
Mr. Smith, now, after almost a decade of deliberately building diverse skills and legal knowledge through working with some of the best in the business, brings it all together in the firm he created. Smith LLC.
